                              The Culebras Field

Nearby Cabin there is a deep and a very rocky field called  Las Culebras. This name comes from the abundance of snakes.
Three score years, nine cows died due to the snakes bites.

One of the customs from this time still survives today. Every spring, farmers burn the fields in order to keep clean and safety the area for livestock.

At times, a good way to find out if snakes are in the area, is to let loose frogs in a sunny day.

The Culebras field is plenty of mistery and danger. No one walks there without boots, and the importance of taking good care.

Nowadays, above all, the beautiful range is known by its lovely and breahtaking landscapes.
